Fubba's QuestionI have hair that is short and voluminous. How can I make it longer and less ... LARGE?I have hair that is short (comes down a little past my shoulders) and very voluminous.
It poofs up to my shoulders and looks hideous. I ALWAYS HAVE TO WEAR IT UP!!!!
Please help me find ways to make it longer and less ... LARGE. Fubba
Nicole's Answer:Dear FubbaTo take out the volume in your hair, find a stylist who knows how to "cut with your curl". This will help remove some of the density while enhancing your curl.
To create a longer length you can try attaching clips to the ends of your hair, all over your head, while your hair is drying. Doing this creates resistance for your curl.
Also, depending on your curl type, you can always look into getting your curl "softened". This is taking your natural curl and pulling it out a little, not taking it all the way straight. This is a chemical process so you would need to seek a professional for assistance.
Until you find a stylist in your area, you can always help the "poof" with product application. Check out some of my Q&A's on Styling/Product application.
Good Luck, Nicole
