Bethany's QuestionAny suggestions for getting my curly hair cut short?I feel a little stuck in a rut.
I have two girls ages 2 and 6 months. I've lost my baby weight and feel like I'm ready for a change.
I've only had my curly hair cut short twice: 3rd grade and Junior year of college - almost 6 years ago!
I've actually been hired back to teach Art in Fairfax County, where I taught for 2.5 years before my oldest was born.
I'm so thrilled that you are in Reston! What do you charge on average?
I was thinking of donating my hair to "Locks for Love". Do you do that? Do they even want curly hair?
I wear my hair twisted up with a clip all the time so I guess I'm not so concerned about my face looking HUGE.
The last time I had my hair cut short it was to resemble Keri Russel's. However, my curls are tighter. Any suggestions??
Please help!
We live in Central PA but I'll be down this Friday for the weekend. My husband is already working back in DC so I'm playing "single-mom" during the week. We're actually getting TWO nights in a ROW together w/o kids. I feel like I've won the lottery!!
Thank you inlaws. Bethany
Nicole's Answer:Dear BethanySounds like you have won the lottery!
I would love to help you out of your rut.
I am working this Saturday 8:30-6:00. Last time I checked my day was almost full.
Being that you have had very short hair before and know you like it I would be more than happy to cut it off.
Styling short curly hair is really based on your curl type. I will check out your hair type, texture and density and give you my feedback on a particular style I think will look great!
I charge $80 for the "enhancing cut". This cut helps manage the curl and minimize the volume.
There are certain guidelines we have to follow to donate your hair to "Locks of Love". Check out their website to get an idea if your hair will work.
Contact me on my website www.strictlycurls.com if you call the salon and cannot get in; I'll see what I can do.
Sincerely, Nicole
