Ann's QuestionHow do I find a stylist who knows how to take the bulk out of curly hair without using thinning shears?Great curly hair tips!
My hair is thick and naturally curly. I like it at shoulder length with not so much hair in front of my ears.
It is difficult to use a lot of product because I play a lot of sports and put it under a hat, but I am currently using the Frizz Ease product line.
My stylist wants to keep it blunt cut, but I feel it's becoming more and more bulky. Her solution is the dreaded thinning shears. How do I find a stylist online that knows how to take the bulk out, as you mention, with normal shears?
I am tired of arguing with my current stylist. Ann
Nicole's Answer:Dear AnnGood for you! For not letting your stylist use the thinning shears!
I would love to cut your hair if you are in the Virginia area, but if not there are a couple of web sites you can look into:
curlyhairsalon.com; naturallycurly.com; Curlisto.com.
These web sites usually have a page for finding stylists. You'll have to do a little research on the particular stylist to make sure he/she knows how to cut into or with the curls.
Logging in to chat rooms can help find a good stylist too.
Good Luck, Nicole
