Alice's QuestionAre there any styles or tricks for hair that's board straight on the front but very curly (ringlets) in the back?My problem is that my hair has gotten board straight on the front but remained very curly (ringlets) in the back.
Are there any styles I can use or tricks for this issue? Texture on top is finer and thinner than the back which is thick and coarse. Alice
Nicole's Answer:Dear AliceYes, there are a couple ideas to consider to blend the front and back textures of your hair.
I would wash and dry your hair as if to wear it curly. Then, after it is dry; curl the front pieces with a curling iron. Use a curling iron with the same size barrel as the curl in the back. Or you can mix it by using a bigger barrel curling iron. Just make sure you curl a few pieces of hair in the back to blend the two sections.
Another idea if you are not interested in using thermal styling technique; try sponge rollers. The kind you sleep in at night. Make sure your hair is not soaking wet when you roll your hair or it will take forever to dry.
Don't forget to put a little styling product on your hair before you roll your hair up. After it dries take out the sponge rollers and separate the curl gently. Style it as you would like. The most important thing is to try different ideas and have fun.
Oh, by the way, if your hair is crazy curly after taking out the sponge rollers don't fret - just pull it half up. Use the "twist back" look from my book Strictly Curls and show off the rest of your curls. Nicole
