The right short hair cut for thick, coarse, wavy & frizzy hair?

Dear Nicole

I have a head full of coarse, thick, wavy, frizzy hair. I'm never sure what kind of cut to get. I have a squarish face - I would put a photo in but don't have one on hand. As my hair is very heavy, the weight of it gives me headaches. I've kept it shorter over the last few years. I'm thinking of going for a medium length style but without that weight.

What can you suggest?
