Should I Get Bangs If My Hair Is Curly?

My hair is really curly and thick, but my curls are not super tight. I am unsure if I should get bangs or not, and how would it look.

I am kind of into the whole emo/punk thing. How can I get hair that reflects the emo style, but also keeps my hair natural looking?

And I don't want to get rid of the curls because I love the way they look!
