But not everybody can wear their curly hair short. Would one of these styles suit you?
Maybe. Maybe not. How do you figure it out?
Your face and your hair work together to create the image you present to the world. They can work well or badly together depending on how you combine them.
And how you combine them depends on how well you understand the separate elements that make your image.
Ideally, if you choose a hair cut it's because it looks good on you.
You shouldn't choose a curly short hair style as an experiment. I mean hey, once your hair is cut you have to live with it! At least until you can get back to the stylist. And at that rate, chances are you'll run out of money - or hair! - before you luck onto a style that works.
Experimenting is okay if the changes are small. But radical changes, like getting a short hair cut, need thought and preparation.
It's worth spending some time looking at pictures, like the photos below, before you take the plunge. Do these styles look good on the models? If they do, why do they look good?
What elements are working together to make those images attractive? And are the same elements available to you?
The factors that make a good hair style can be subtle. Like beauty itself. There's no standard. It's a matter of enhancing what makes you attractive, and distracting attention from anything less flattering.
