And that's a tribute to the cunning of her curly, sexy blonde hair arrangement.
I'm sure you'll agree when you look at her pictures in the gallery below.
It's always hard to be certain about face shape with these clever hair arranging women, but Amanda Detmer seems to have a diamond shaped face.
A diamond shape means her face is widest at the cheeks, and from there it tapers towards her chin and forehead.
The secret mission assigned to Detmer's sexy blonde curly hair, then, is to make her face appear less like a diamond and more like an oval.
And therefore more sexy.
Detmer uses tricks similar to those of Jennifer Aniston, another diamond faced celebrity woman considered to be a model of beauty, glamor and style.
The main task for Detmer is to disguise her natural hair line as it rises on an angle from her ear towards the middle of her forehead.
You can see that line very clearly in the gallery's first picture ... and you can also observe one of the best tricks used by pretty women and other magicians - misdirection.
Here the misdirection involves careful, selective highlighting.
The curls at the front are lightened to very blonde, and they rise to create a false hair line further out to the side than the real one.
From there she draws down long, light blonde curls to disguise the hair line further, and to disrupt the edge of her cheek so that her face seems narrower there.
It's masterly misdirection, because the eye sees the blonde highlights, sketches in a face shape to suit (much more oval and therefore much more attractive), and discounts the real hair line as mere shadow underscoring the blonde highlights.
Hair in the face is pretty sexy anyway, but in this case it's the fringe benefit of a curly, clever ploy.
Detmer's sexy blonde curly hair technique is almost identical in the gallery's second picture.
Again you can see the real hair line clearly - but what you process and internalize, aesthetically, is the false shape she's sketched in with a few clever brush-strokes - er, hair strokes - er, strands.
She doesn't need to disguise much in the lower half of her face. A cute, pointy chin like hers is fine, in terms of attractiveness, as long as it seems to be part of an oval, and doesn't appear to taper too sharply from the cheek.
The angle of the camera helps here.
For a frontal view of Amanda Detmer's sexy, curly blonde camouflage methods, have a look at the middle picture in the bottom row.
If you didn't know where the hair line really was, you'd discount it as shadow while your eye lights again upon the heavily emphasized, highlighted curls in front of it.
From the centre of her forehead, bright blonde curls spring symmetrically up and outwards before descending in a curve to intersect with the eyebrows.
Those curls are there so you won't pay any attention to the real hair line. It's almost completely disguised on Detmer's right, and on the left, just in case your brain starts putting two and two together, a small, wispy but very blonde curl sneaks forward beneath the main distraction.
You can barely see it. But it's enough.
Curls are distributed generously round the top half of the face, crowding in to the very edge of her eyes with the express purpose of diminishing the width there, and further disguising the hair line.
From there the loose curls move out, away from the lower half of Amanda's face. At the back of her neck the edges of her ponytail appear as a shadow, and her front curls stand out brightly against it.
It's a subtle device to make you see more width this time, rather than less, along the line where - if you weren't so deliberately misdirected and confused - you might think her jaw was angling too sharply towards her chin.
The masterliness of Amanda Detmer's misdirection by sexy blonde curly hair is breathtaking at times.
In two pictures she wears a yellow dress and a ton of jewelry - the fourth picture in the top row, and the last in the second.
It doesn't even look as if she's disguising anything here. At first glance you think her face is completely free of curls and strands of hair. And it is - almost.
But on her left, two or three very bright, cunning curls drop down and push outwards, almost horizontally, obscuring any hint of actual hair line and blending, in the mind's eye, with the oval lightness of her face.
But what about the other side? No carefully straying curls there. What happened to the hair line?
Good question. I don't know where it went.
I guess sometimes a woman goes beyond simple misdirection.
