Detmer uses tricks similar to those of fellow diamond faced celebrity woman Jennifer Aniston.

The main task for Detmer is to disguise her natural hair line as it rises on an angle from her ear towards the middle of her forehead.

You can see that line very clearly in this picture ... and you can also observe one of the best tricks used by pretty women and other magicians - misdirection.

Here the misdirection involves careful, selective highlighting.

The curls at the front are lightened to very blonde, and they rise to create a false hair line further out to the side than the real one.

From there she draws down long, light blonde curls to disguise the hair line further, and to disrupt the edge of her cheek so that her face seems narrower there.

It's masterly misdirection, because the eye sees the blonde highlights, sketches in a face shape to suit (much more oval and therefore much more attractive), and discounts the real hair line as mere shadow underscoring the blonde highlights.

Hair in the face is pretty sexy anyway, but in this case it's the fringe benefit of a curly, clever ploy.
