Why Older Women Hair Styles?
I received this comment from Barbara, a visitor to Curly-Hair-Styles-Magazine.com. It's thought-provoking, and I wanted to get your feedback.
John, I hope that in the future you will show short curly hair styles or shorter hair styles for the graying ladies out there. We don't want to look like our daughters (at least most of us don't). But gray hair is coarser and takes styling differently.
I like perms, soft not kinky, but all I find are these young girls with flowing locks of curls and I sure am not one of them (used to be). But the ladies are now letting their hair go natural gray (like me) and we need some pictures that we can relate to. Not a young girl with gray hair, someone who really looks like us. A few edgy lines here or there and not tight, over-stretched skin.
Please consider this when figuring future pages in your magazine.
I truly feel there must be a reasonable percentage of us "Baby Boomers" who would like some ideas. After all, how many of us now are returning to the work force, and we need a boost also. We need natural hair on ladies in their late 50's to late 60's with real figures.
We want comfort, ease and to be looking good. And we can't spend much money but are willing to pay for clothes we can use more than a trendy mini. Got the idea? I think you do.
Be interesting what feedback you get when you get this out there.
Barbara
Have your say :) Or ask your question.
What does being older mean for you and your hair? And what does your hair say about you and how you feel about your stage of life?
Do you let the gray have its way, or do you cover it up? Do you wear you hair short, or long, or something in between? Do you prefer tight perms, or loose perms, or no perms at all? Do you have a buzz cut? Or are you still flaunting your own glorious, natural curls?
Is your hair thinning, or changing its texture, or presenting you with dilemmas you never expected to have to face? Or do you find that your age and circumstances bring you new and exciting hair styling opportunities?
