My Unauthorized Curly Hair

I really wanted straight hair before, but unfortunately my hair was so weird - it looked straight but also looked curly or wavy, very difficult to identify. My cousin told me she thought curly hair looked good on me and I thought: "Really? Then why not try it?"

I asked my cousin if she could perm my hair so it would stay curly. She agreed, so I bought the things needed. After she'd finished curling my hair I was so happy with the result. It looked fabulous!

My mom (abroad) and I were chatting on Yahoo messenger and she asked me to turn on the webcam. When I did, she suddenly asked, so angrily: "What happened to your hair?" I told her that I'd had it curled permanently. She was really angry that I hadn't asked for permission and we had a fight because of that.

Almost a month later she conceded that my hair looked much better than it had on the webcam, and that curly hair really suits me.
