My son´s curly hair!!!

I don´t know if you may upload pictures of your family but this is my son´s hair - fantastic, ain´t it!!!???

I wish I could have hair like that!

It´s a little bit "unfair" because both me and my daughter have straight hair! My daughter thinks it´s sad that HE, a boy, should be gifted with the beautiful curly hair and not her!

If you think my boy get teased? Well, to start off with he did, but now his classmates think he´s daring and cool! The girls - well, they´re crazy about him and they stand in line to comb and brush it!

Well I know one day he has to cut it but meanwhile - why shouldn´t he be able to wear gorgeous hair like that - nature created him with those options!

NOTE! I didn´t force him - this is his own free will!

A happy and proud mother!!!

The frilly blouse is just for the fun of it and the occasion - he likes it!

I might be a bit more open minded than some, but, I think your son's curly hair is gorgeous! It doesn't sound like it has created problems, he likes it that way, girls like it, and you obviously want him to have his free expression. The blouse is a wonderful touch. I would love to see more, even some when he was very young, He had to have been adorable. Good work mom, I am in my mid 60's, and was never allowed to have any hair - much of that was 30 years, military. Service, currently, disabled from Baghdad, ret. Disabled, 35 years, teaching. You go girl.

Hi Lori!

I´m sorry to hear your thoughts about my son´s hair!

I know, with him being a blond, people sometimes think that he´s wearing a wig or something! I can´t do more than giving you my word that it is his own hair even though it is very rare that you see boys with that kind of hair or with that length of hair!

I know that it is amazing and unusual, but either you believe it or you don't - that is up to you and anyone else. I can´t do anything more to convince you - sorry!

The dream is still alive!

Greetings All,

Great to hear the dream is still alive! My hair is starting to get some length back to it with spiral curls showing up nicely. I sure missed them. I had two people compliment me on it last weekend and one today which really made my day, especially as I rarely get to town.

If you see someone with great hair, tell them! They might just need that boost to turn a bad day into a good one.

Have a great week and keep the faith! By all means post more photographs, full length from the back would be a great shot. Move the light source around for good effects.

Well, I think you should be open-minded these days!

I´m glad that you, as a male, are so positive towards this because I meet so many (macho) men who are so against my son. And they don´t hesitate to say what they think. They can be very nasty. It seems like their masculinity is threatened by his "girly" hair! I don´t understand this strong and unreasonable reaction. I´m glad that my boy is so strong enough to withstand all this pressure.

Why shouldn't a boy be allowed to have really long hair? Boys had it about 100 years ago and then it was accepted and normal!

And since God or/and nature gave boys/men the ability to have long hair like the girls/women, why shouldn´t they have it? It is wonderful and gives all children such pleasure! (even though it is tough to brush and comb!)

I will put some new pics out for you on this site, showing my boy´s hair more from the back!

As you sure can understand, I left out his face (when shot from the front) just for his "safety". We don´t want him to be recognized on the Internet! And as happened before, sometimes he loves wearing skirts with it, just for fun and for the photo occasion and, I guess, just to provoke a little! Normally, he doesn't have girls´ clothes on at school, more than at parties and costume parties! The girls love it!

But, and I must stress this, he's not a feminine boy otherwise; he actually plays a lot of football and tennis! He just wants to enjoy both worlds as long as he can!

Yes indeed, his hair is really, really long! Actually a little longer now than on the photos here! I do have some more pics for you! I will put them onto this site as soon as possible!

Yes, I really think he's lucky because not too many boys are able to grow hair like this and dare wearing it! He always loved his wavy, fluffy hair and wouldn't cut it for anything!

I wish my wife was as open minded as you are! I had long curly hair, enjoyed getting compliments on it, was even asked to model for a hair photo shoot. My wife hated it, "People NOTICE it!!!" like that was a bad thing ...

So after years of nagging I cut it all off. I was miserable and am now growing it back. It was cut off in February and I've only trimmed the top to keep it curly. In a year or so it will be where I like it. Wish me luck!

Your son's hair is phenomenal. It appears so healthy and would be a crowning glory on anyone. Good for all of you!
