When I was younger, between the ages of three and seven I had my hair in a small bob. However, as I got older, I began to grow my curly hair. My dad is Afro-Caribbean and my mum is white English and so I have inherited hair from both sides, leaving me with medium sized curls.
When I got to the age of fourteen my hair was a few inches below shoulder length and was becoming hard for me to manage, especially with a busy schedule, and one day I noticed a large knot in the back of my head. I tried for hours to get the knot out of my hair but it just wouldn't shift. I decided to go the the hairdressers to see what they could do about it but they said they couldn't get it out, and the most they could do was take it off.
After half an hour of carefully cutting out my tennis-ball sized knots I was back to my original curly bob, which makes my hair look in much better condition and adds more curls and bounciness - I don't regret cutting off my locks!
