My hair is exactly the same as yours and I have bangs. I have to straighten them every day but believe it or not it looks great, especially if I put a hairband in the middle of my bangs and curls. If you want I can send you a picture! But your hair is greeeeeeeat ;) Tip: try leaving your conditioner in your hair through the whole day. It looks great!!
