My Hair Has a Mind of Its Own!

I always tell people that my hair has a mind of its own because it's very hard to please my hair. Sometimes it needs more water and sometimes it needs more hairspray. I never know until it's too late!

Adding too much of one of or the other turns my hair into an angry frizzy dome of terror the moment I step outside. When I leave the house it looks okay until the effects of the weather kick in. It's impossible for me to try any new hairstyles because I never know how they're actually going to turn out.

Lots of women comment on my hair telling me how much they "love" my hair and how "beautiful" it is but they have no idea how much I hate spending 20 minutes de-tangling it every morning and another 45 minutes just to blow dry and style it after I attempt to figure out the perfect ratio of water & hair gel I need to use to get my hair to look somewhat okay.

Whenever I get these compliments I just want to punch that girl right in the face!! I want straight hair more than anything but that's never going to happen so I've finally come to terms with my hair and I'm desperately seeking new hairstyles to try so I don't have to wear my hair the same way every single day!!

I do enjoy the volume and the playful attitude that my hair gives me. I just wish I knew how to control my hair more than it controls me :(
