I had very kinky hair growing up - afro hair as some would describe it. I hated it so much when I was young cause I can't do any hairstyles with it as it doesn't grow long, it only grows big like a bush - hahaha! That's why I always wore a hat to school to hide. I didn't really appreciate my hair.
In high school I had it straightened for a change. I was so happy until the roots started growing. On the upper half my hair was curly and then on the remaining part it was straight. Gosh it became a burden! I always had to tie my hair.
After two years I was surprised because the curls grew differently and now I love it - it's like telephone wire. It also has the ability to make itself look like I have it in dreadlocks - hahahaha. Especially when I don't condition it, as curly hair tends to dry easily and mine sticks together. Most people who see me can't help but stop and stare and ask If my hair is natural or if I just had it done in the salon. I am proud to tell them that it is natural.
Take a look at my hair everyone :)
