Messing with hair too much

I have really springy curly hair. I have learned over 30 years of experience not to touch my hair too much while it is air drying or the curls separate and get frizzy.

Thank you for your tip on the duckbill clips. I never thought about using them to give my hair lift on the top of my head.

One thing I do not understand is where you had answered a question about applying product to curly hair. You had said to separate the hair into three sections and apply but when I do this, like I said before, my hair separates and gets frizzy.

I usually apply product in the shower with my heaad upside down while my hair is still dripping wet and then I gather all my hair into a ball and squeeze most of the water out. I then put it in a towel while I'm dressing. When I take my towel off my head I then apply lotion (a thick body lotion).

I have found that this is the only way to help my hair from getting frizzy and it really works well.

My question is, what can I use that is actually made for hair? Are there any lotions out there that are made for hair that are not greasy or heavy? A thick lotion like Bath and Body works works great on my hair, but I don't think it's very healthy for it.
