I Have Always Had a Love/Hate Relationship with My Curly Hair

I am an amateur bodybuilder also.
For years I wanted stick straight hair like other girls had but when I used a flat iron my hair looked like hay. It has taken me a long time to get my hair this length because curly hair shrinks up when dry.
People always tell me I am lucky to have curly hair and that I don't have to pay for a perm. I think, if they only knew how hard it is to manage sometimes - and I seem to spend a lot of money on styling products. I have learned to love it though and I guess it's because I see so many girls with plain straight styles that are boring to me and because people always compliment my curls!
