I Have a Lion's Mane

I found a picture of Halle Berry. These are the kind of curls I have, but my hair is thicker and I have more hair than in this picture.

I have very naturally curly hair. It's long but I have so much hair when I wear it down and curly it looks like a lion's mane or a big bush. It has layers but long layers so the curls don't frame my face. It looks like I have a big hair helmet on my head. All you see is hair instead of my face.

What can I do to take some of the weight off? But I don't want any bangs because I like to wear my hair pulled back a lot. I am Puerto Rican so I have curly frizzy hair. It's not very coarse but it's curly and thick!!! The curls I have match the curls in this picture of Halle Berry but my hair is longer and thicker and all all over the place.

What can I do and how should I get it cut?????? Please HELP me asap. I look like bozo the clown right now.
