How Can I Leave My Hair Loose When It's Frizzy and Extremely Curly?

I have frizzy, curly, puffy hair. I wanna let it loose, let it down and make it look stylish like all the straight haired people. I feel so disgusted with my hair.

How can I make it look stylish? Even if it's not by letting it down. If I wear a pony tail it becomes all puffy and ugly. I cant do ANYTHING! =(
