French braid your hair (two works best) before you go to sleep.

Jessica,
You're not asking for the impossible or anything!:)
All kidding aside, there are three things you can try.
First, I'd suggest getting shampoo set rollers. These are plastic rollers with holes in them. Try your local beauty supply store. You will need to purchase single or double prong clips to hold the rollers in place.
Start by taking a section of hair not much bigger than the roller you are going to use. This should be done on damp not wet hair (or it will take a while to dry). Add a little styling gel to your damp section of hair, combing the gel through the hair to make it smooth. Then, place the hair around the roller and turn it until it reaches the scalp. Take a clip to hold it in place. Continue in this manner until all your hair is in rollers. Dry the hair. Then, take the rollers out.
Remember, the bigger the roller the bigger the curl. Play with the amount of gel and the size of roller to get the desired curl you want.
Another option would be to ditch the rollers and just, with your hands, create a barrel with the hair and pin it in place at the root of the scalp. To do this take a 2-3 inch section of damp almost dry hair. Add a little gel as instructed above. Start at the end of the hair and roll the hair down to the scalp and clip. Let dry. Make sure it is all the way dry before you take it out or it will fall straight.
Lastly, there is a cut called the Helix cut. It is a detailed hair cut that cuts curls into straight hair. Sounds crazy I know, but I have seen it work. I think you can go to Helix.com to find a stylist and learn more about the cutting technique.
Good luck, Nicole

Trying to get curls without product, perm, irons, etc. is a tall order for straight hair.
But!
You might just try scrunching your hair up and clipping it when it's still wet, letting it dry that way and then carefully releasing the clips once the hair is dry. I do this with my curly hair on top where the weight tends to pull it flat on the upper portion of my head. If you have the time, it's a pretty simple trick.
