First thing you have to keep in mind is that really tight curly hair is, by nature, really dry!
It needs lots of moisture.
I recommend the Deva Curl "NO-poo" shampoo. It will not bubble because there are no Sodium Laurel sulfates or other sulfates to dry out the curl. It is great for moisture. With that use a rinse out and a leave-in conditioner, followed by a deep treatment weekly until your curl feels healthier.
Check out other Q&A on this site for deep treatments I recommend.
Avoid wrapping your hair up in a towel. This can over-dry the hair and create more frizz by pulling the cuticles apart. Instead, try towel blotting - use an old t-shirt or check out www.curlslikeus.com - they have a nice towel that helps minimize frizz.
Stay away from products with artificial ingredients that will coat your hair and create a barrier. These ingredients suffocate the hair.
The more moisture your hair can retain the less frizz you will see. Healthy hair is less frizzy hair!

I have the same problem.
Try Tresemme conditioner and Don't cut your hair shoulder length! Trust me, it will look like a Christmas tree.
When you're out of the shower use a de-frizz hairspray and wrap your hair in a towel. Tie your hair in two reallyyy tight braids and let it dry overnight. In the morning slowly take out your braids. Put your hair upside down, shake it and stick a head band on and you're good to go!
I've been doing this for a loonnggg time and it works wonders. This will give it a loose curl effect.
