On the left side of the part, a front section sweeps up and out, curving away from the forehead to reveal the exposed hair line and build a rounded shape beside the temple, and is then drawn down on an angle and tucked behind the ear. The length on this side remains behind the ear and well clear of the left cheek as it falls, vanishing behind the neck before it reaches the shoulder.

Opposite, on the right side of the part, a front section runs sideways at a shallow angle. From further back another section is drawn forward over this strand, at the intersection creating a smoothly rounded curve that bends in to touch the corner of the eye, then dives out to cross the cheek near the base of the ear. Long layers of wavy hair descend round the face, closely edging the right cheek and curling forward onto the shoulder.
