I have super curly hair (most days), and I've learned that Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine works WONDERS on my hair & keeping it from frizzing...
Plus the Garnier Curl Shaper (it's not gel.. not sure what it is, but it's a ball-shape & has a dark green lid), and curl shapening Hair Spray Gel...
... while my hair's flipped over, I apply the Curl Shaper & hair spray gel... And I let it air dry once I've put it in the style I want (usually the top half pulled back)...

My hair is not naturally curly. I had it permed coz I wanna have some volume and fullness in my hair.
I never dared to have curly hair coz I heard its hard to maintain. But now here I go with my curly hair! I love it so much!!!

On Curly Hair Care, Stylists and Styling
Hi my name is Rachel and my hair is naturally curly. Unfortunately I have a curl hating hair stylist who likes to iron out all my curls with the straightening irons. So I don't go to the hair dressers very often.
Finding your online magazine has been a godsend for me but as you say seeing photos of real women as well as models and celebs would be good so I am sending you these pictures of my curly hair.
I don't really have a particular style. I just wash and condition it with lush products which don't contain chemicals, brush out the knots, scrunch it then leave it to dry.
I really need some ideas as to how to wear my fringe which is where your magazine comes in handy.

I'm sorry to have taken so long to answer you.
We don't have a printed version. Curly Hair Styles Magazine is strictly a web-based publication.
But since you wrote I have been wondering whether readers might want to be able to download pictures they like at a higher quality, so they can print them out and show their hair stylist.
I'd love to get some feedback on the idea. It would take some time to set up but it could certainly be done, if the interest was there.

Woody's Tale - the Hair Style That Brought Him Unglued
A wonderful email came recently in response to our newsletter, The Curly Yeah File. I've quoted it here, nearly in full, because it's delightfully written, very funny, and extremely telling indeed about the hidden force that a girl's hair style can exercise over males.
Woody writes:
I simply had to reply to you though I am male and not a member of your
distribution. My wife is a member, and I read her message with
magazine from you. Then I read the materials on your site and found them
most interesting.
You covered one topic which has always driven me absolutely crazy, that
of the glamorous, long-hair, curly style all brushed over to one side and worn that way, with or without a specimen long earring on the exposed ear.
It simply has unglued me since I was 13. When I told my new wife about this
propensity, she started wearing her hair this way regularly. As a direct
result we had 3 children in 3 and a half years and are still happily married
after 44 years. I still get just as much charge out of seeing such a style
today though sighting occurrences are rare, and I am now over 70.
If young women of today only realized the devastating might and control
they could wield over us males by wearing such powerfully magnetic styles
rather than short, bobbed hair, that is Unisex at best, there would be a big
revival, and society would have no need for Viagra or Cialis. Almost equal
in such powerful effects are the "cyclopic-type" hairdos, with hair falling
down casually over one eye, or even moreso, deliberately and brazenly placed
that way for its provocative effects and results.
I think back to those halcyon, yet also frustrating, days of junior high
and high school. I can remember several occasions of spotting a rare
occurrence of "our one-sided hairdo" on the campus and then following her
around at a safe distance until she would enter her class, at which time I
would almost be late for mine and had to run. Then when the class period
was over, I would hurry over to her class, again pick her up as a tail and
follow her on to her next class. This could cover most of the school day.
Oh, what things we went through in response to our just developing glands!
I can laugh hilariously at the absurdity of it all now, but it was painful
at the time, when I felt driven by forces to which I could only predictably
respond, much as one of Pavlov's dogs. Some girls wielded fantastic, but
fortunately hidden, power over me. Life is such an amazing comedy as we look
back! It is strange that we all don't die laughing.
I do have to tell you that you have given me the first rational
explanation for why my behavior has been so "bizarre" over my early
lifetime. I guess that I am not the only one that might have had such
feelings; in fact I was probably an "innocent victim of a well-planned and
executed plot" by a much more worthy and clever "prey".

Today we launched a new section at Curly Hair Styles Magazine.
It's called Curly Wedding Hair and you can check out the first page, and the first wedding hair styles photo gallery, by clicking right here.
