Extremely thick, coarse, wavy, frizzy red hair
What hairstyle would be best for my hair? I have very very thick, extremely coarse, wavy, very frizzy hair.
It is especially frizzy on the ends on the sides. I have shorter, all one length hair (about 2 inches below the ear) and always get it thinned a lot.
I have tried all sorts of products (mousse, cremes for straightening, cremes for curly hair, frizz cremes, gels). The only thing I can do is use a lot of hair spray in front (bangs with lots of short layers on top) and put mousse and frizz creme in the rest of it when wet, then use a pick to comb it, then use a round brush to make the bottom curl under and then spray a lot with a curl spray which, when it dries (air dries), becomes incredibly crunchy.
I have to put my hair behind my ears and use hairspray to hold it. It does not do what I want on the sides (ends) and is completely frizzy no matter what I use on it.
I also have to hope it is not windy out because my hair will go every which way and end up puffy and frizzy.
Any suggestions on a hairstyle?
I've tried longer, but it doesn't style right and gets in my face. Really short with layers is not good, because I end up with pieces sticking up all over.
I've heard that longer layers can help thick hair, but I am afraid of pieces sticking out and not lying right.
Also, I've heard of maybe trying to round it out towards the face for shape, but it doesn't seem to work with my hair (or maybe it's not being cut right). I've had an undercut a few times and my hair ends up sticking out at least 5 inches thick all over.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!
