Curly hair photo style is a new concept that we're defining here, to describe something that's been around for a long time.

Photo style curly hair means a photo of a curly hair style that you'll probably never see outside a photo.

Unless it's Halloween, or Crazy Hair Day.

You can be pretty sure you won't pass one of these hair styles on the street, or sit beside one on a train, or ride behind one on an escalator. In the real world you'll see lots of curly styles, but none like these.

Who, on the face of this planet, would be caught dead wearing a hair style like these?

Apart from the models in the photos, of course. But hey! Fame and fortune have their price!

No, photo style curly hair exists purely to be photographed.

Why? Why would anyone create a hair style like the ones in these pictures? Is it a joke?

Well yes.

Sometimes ...

All the hair styles on this page are silly. And some are ugly.

But in the case of two, we can at least be thankful that the stylist knew how silly he was being. His silliness was deliberate. He used it to sell something. That's okay. In return for looking at the ad we get to laugh at the silly hair style.

Fair exchange.

It's not like he's expecting anyone to wear it.

Then there's a second group of people who regularly create examples of curly hair photo style. The members of this group, like the first, know exactly what they're doing. But their motives go beyond commercial silliness.

Who are they?

A sub-class of fashion designer whose sole desire is to make beautiful women look ugly.

Well, maybe it's not their sole desire. Who knows what they get up to behind closed doors?

But year after year, season after season, fashion show after fashion show, these dark and twisted souls parade the grim results of their work.

Haute Couture.

The very words strike a chill in the heart of anyone who has a real job to go to.

As the ghastly spectacle unfolds, as outfit after appalling outfit minces on the catwalk, the ugliness of the clothes on display is second only to the ugliness of the hair and make up foisted on the models.

This bitter, twisted, sour brand of curly hair photo style spits in the face of everything good in the world. Like beautiful women.

But one more surprise awaits us in the world of curly hair photo style.

Now we come to the last, most pure form.

The most puzzling. The hardest to comprehend. The strangest curly hair photo style of all because it's created by people who ... think their curly hair photo style is ... serious!

They're not being silly! Not deliberately, I mean. They think people will actually wear this stuff!

They're not trying to make us smile. And they don't hate beautiful women.

They're genuinely, unknowingly silly!

Their delightful, refreshing naivete gives all of us something to laugh at in a world run by advertising and warped fashion designers.
