A hair style for curly hair or a hair style for wavy hair.

Curly hair is a continuum that reaches all the way from extremely curly hair to hair styles so barely wavy that they're almost straight.

There's no single point at which hair texture stops being curly and becomes wavy. Given a particular hair style, it can be quite subjective whether you call it one or the other.

But some hair is undeniably, unmistakably wavy - hair that's a virtual hybrid of curly and straight hair, incorporating the light-catching qualities of straight hair with the sinuous, sensuous motion of curls that are no longer just curls, but waves of light and shadow that move like silk.

This is when wavy hair comes into its own.

Another picture in the bottom row, photo three, shows a medium length hair style that's certainly wavy, and it has that attractive halo of frizz that you get with curly hair. But in parts this hair style is virtually straight.

Back in the top row, picture four shows a blonde curly hair hair style in a wavy hair style ... or is it a wavy hair in a curly hair style? The elements of both are present, and it's hard to say which predominates. The effect is easier to describe - it's very glamorous.

Nearly every other picture here features a style that could be a called either a hair style for curly hair or a hair style for wavy hair, depending on who makes the call and how they happen to see it at the time.
