It's small wonder that curly hair bridal updos are such a natural choice for wedding day hair styles.
They can look extremely beautiful, after all, and a really attractive curly updo is the perfect accompaniment for any bridal gown.
This gallery features fifteen pictures of curly updo hair styles for brides, but some are variations rather than distinctly different hairdos.
One curly hair style occupies three of our pictures. It's a gorgeous updo, a wedding hair do well worth viewing from different angles and perspectives.
It begins the gallery, ends the first row, and completes the gallery with the last picture in the bottom row.
The picture at the start of the gallery gives proof, if any were needed, of the ease with which curly hair bridal updos can surround their owners with an aura of dreamy sensuality. The play of light and shadow highlights the startlingly beautiful nature of the bride's curly hair, and of the skin which forms its backdrop.
Variations on this style can be found in three others of the curly hair bridal updos below.
In the first picture in the bottom row, the same model's beautiful, extremely curly hair is raised in a nearly identical updo, but many more loose strands are allowed to fall beside and around her face, and behind her neck.
The effect is akin to a dark lacework curtain, a sort of natural bridal veil composed of trailing curls.
You can see this curly updo effect from further back in the middle picture of the second row.
And the top row's fourth picture offers another view, where the pseudo-veil of hair creates a filmy, glowing surface beyond the bride's face. Behind her head, meanwhile, the tendrils and spirals of her loosely raised hair make stunning patterns against a lighter background.
Similar, but different, is the updo in the second picture of the top row. Again, the bride's extremely curly hair is lifted up in a loose do, but the front is allowed to fall completely across one side of her face.
More restrained styling is evident in two curly hair bridal updos.
The fourth picture in the second row shows a curly updo drawn out in an extended shape from the back of the head. Rather than trailing loosely, the end of her hair is made tight, compact, and bound with feathers whose shapes echo those of her curls.
The second picture in the bottom row actually shows the same updo as that of the gallery's first picture. But the strands used to frame the bride's face have been drawn up into the main body of hair to leave a cleaner, more defined profile.
The angle is different, too, and this makes the extended shape at the back looks more like a messy bun. The whole arrangement, from this perspective, becomes almost a traditional curly updo.
Next among our curly hair bridal updos is the first picture of the middle row.
This bride's wedding hair is pulled sharply back from her forehead and held with a formal tiara, but then blossoms into a very untraditional mass of swirling curls that grows bigger as it extends out and back from her head.
It's like a messy bun, elevated into an art form and absorbing almost all of the bride's hair.
Similar to this in its loose conglomeration of curly hair is the hair style pictured in the middle of the bottom row. But this new wedding updo adds another feature, a white hat and veil, complete with flowers, perched jauntily above the forehead.
Two photos above, in the middle of the top row, a loose and tousled curly hair bridal updo also incorporates a hat and veil. The accessory is black this time, to match an extravagant necklace, and perches at an even cheekier angle.
So fine is the veil on this hat that the handful of dark beads stitched into its lace seem unattached, as if they're floating on the curly hair of the smiling bride.
This whole hat-on-the-forehead thing is a cute trick. It makes both these curly hair bridal updos look happy, sexy, casual - and formal - all at the same time.
Which is no mean feat for a bride to achieve on her wedding day!
The last hair style is worn by the girl in the middle row's second picture, the only blonde in this entire gallery of curly hair bridal updos.
She's differently textured from the two brides with hats, but her hair is lifted up into a similar shape. She could be just as cute, too, if she added the lace accessory ... and the cheeky smile that goes with it.
But it's a big day when a girl gets married, and there aren't many curly hair bridal updos whose owners can step back from the drama of their wedding day and simply enjoy the moment.
That's life!
That's weddings!
That's curly hair bridal updos!
