Curly hair and Keri Russell seemed to be inseparable for years.She's a few years older in the next photo, but she hasn't sacrificed a single curl. The gallery begins with an unusual glimpse of Keri Russell and blonde curly hair. And she's blonde again two pictures below, at the start of the third row where a photographer captures her against a street scene. Next photo along her hair is a blaze of light surrounding a smiling face. And at the end of the last row she's smiling still, but her curls have become a pattern of dark tendrils. It's part of the magic of naturally curly hair that it can reflect so many different moods. Keri Russell is not only naturally curly, but extremely curly to boot, with one of the most famous heads of corkscrew curls that ever graced the television screen. So famous that Lorraine Massey, in her book Curly Girl, selected Keri Russell as an example of corkscrew curls alongside Julianna Margulies and Gloria Reuben. Fans gasped in horror when Keri Russell cut her long hair short. It's easy to understand their dismay when you look at these pictures and see the spectacular partnership that curly hair and Keri Russell forged. She looks gorgeous in these photos. Her hair is wonderful. It's long, curly, natural, captivating. So why would she take to it with a pair of scissors? It was inevitable. Long curly hair and Keri Russell had to part ways. Keri Russell's hair is teased into a storm-cloud of wild, rich red curls. Her chin is lowered, she gazes up through her lashes, a finger toys suggestively with her lips. You can't keep an ambitious, red-blooded woman down, and Keri Russell had to do something about her curly hair if she was ever to explore new territory as an actor. But this gallery doesn't go there.
