If you're after a celebrity hair style for a woman with curly hair it's worth checking out Spanish actress Paz Vega.

She's naturally curly, for one thing, and the hair style you see her wearing is often her own, in movies and in real life.

That's pretty refreshing.

Paz Vega has style. And that automatically sets her apart from a lot of celebrities.

She can take her own hair from the polished look of high fashion - that's expensive advertising, not haute couture - to salty, windswept hair at the beach, and on to loose, natural styles for opening nights and casual appearances.

Celebrity hair style for this woman means finding her own style. She does that, she sticks to it, and she always looks good.

That doesn't mean she won't mix things up a bit.

As the star of a movie called Sex and Lucia you'd expect her to have some experience with tousled hair styles, and she doesn't disappoint.

The fourth picture on the top row of our gallery is Paz Vega in the promotional poster for Sex and Lucia. Medium length style with sunlight on her dark brunette hair.

She's even more tousled in the photo before, with the sea in the background and a thoroughly windswept look.

Although her usual style is medium length, an image from the film Carmen shows how effective long curly hair styles can be.

Surrounded by dark hair her skin glows, her eyes shine, and two curly tendrils loosed from her temples tumble down beside her face. Her hands are tied, but she seems to be in command of the situation.

So What's a Celebrity Hair Style for Woman?

The very term, celebrity hair style for woman, suggests that celebrities are a genre in themselves, a way of wearing hair, a school of wisdom in the art of beauty. Perhaps an organised philosophy, a system of thought, a tradition of long held secrets and knowledge distilled over hundreds of years into a system of hair styles that stands on its own, a recognised body of work that we call celebrity hair styles.

It's not like that, of course.

Celebrities are just in the public eye, and elements of the public look to them for guidance in matters of fashion, like hair styles.

Whether they should is another matter.

Most celebrities have no idea what they should look like.

That much is obvious, because they keep changing the way they look.

They just know they have to look like something, and it's hard to come up with anything original when so many celebrities are trying to look special.

Celebrities have become so numerous that they've ceased to be celebrities - they're just figures in a smaller crowd that comes complete with its own photographers and publicists.

How does a celebrity woman decide on a hair style for herself?

She looks to other celebrities, her stylists, her wardrobe advisors, to magazines - the same magazines you read to find new hair styles.

She'll even draw on the fashion industry, whose interests are vested in change for its own sake - well, gratuitous change AND making a buck. And stoking the egos of designers who, as often as not, are walking, talking, creative voids.

Is that any way to choose a hair style? Even for a celebrity woman?

Celebrity Hair Style for Which Woman, Anyway?

Are we talking about a celebrity hair style for any woman? For every woman? For an old woman? Young woman? Mature woman?

Hair styles don't come in a one size fits all variety. Or a one style suits all range. Hair styles are pretty much an individual proposition.

Do we mean a celebrity hair style for a woman who wants to look like a particular celebrity?

Or a celebrity hair style for a woman who doesn't care which celebrity she looks like as long as she looks like one of them?

Or a celebrity hair style for a woman who just wants a new hair style, and doesn't care whether it comes from a celebrity or not?

What about a celebrity hair style for a woman with her own sense of style? That's quite a contradiction. Would that woman go looking for a celebrity hair style in the first place?

I'm sure Paz Vega didn't. She lets her hair speak for itself. Why not, when it expresses her beauty so clearly, so easily, so simply?

And maybe that's the best hair style message you could ever get from any celebrity about a hair style for any woman - forget it. Find a hair style that suits you, a style you're comfortable with, and ignore what everyone else is doing.

Sure, you'll never stop checking out other women's hair. But when you find your own style it will be the other women glancing speculatively at you, wondering if your hair style could make them look as good as you look.

And that gives you a celebrity hair style for one woman, at least.
