Not one celebrity with a hair style for wavy hair, but six. That's what you'll find in this celebrity wavy hair style gallery.
But there is one celebrity who features in ten of the pictures here. With her long wavy hair she gives a good picture of teen hair styles, or of hair styles that would certainly appeal to teen aged girls.
First, though, to the middle row, where the other five celebrity women and their wavy hair styles can be found.
In the first picture on the middle row, actress Bridget Moynahan displays an image very different from her role early in the movie I, Robot. There she was very restrained and distant, with a hair style to match. But here this same celebrity has a hair style all wavy and seductive, and so thoroughly wanton that she should be wearing danger signs.
Next to her is a very young and very beautiful Milla Jovovich, the celebrity actress, singer and walking cosmetics advertisement who began modeling at the age of 9. Here the future celebrity has a hair style whose wavy, thick, highlighted locks are almost overshadowed by her stunning blue eyes.
Jennie Garth is next in line. As a star of Beverly Hills, 90210 in the 1990s, modeling many a celebrity hair style both wavy and otherwise, she helped create the picture of teen hair styles as they evolved in the last decade of the twentieth century.
The wavy style she models here could work for anyone, from teen to twenty or thirty something.
Then comes Monica Potter, the often sleek haired, straight haired star of many movies who, in this gallery, is most definitely, unarguably a celebrity with a wavy hair style.
A sexy, tousled, wavy hair style.
One suspects that Monica Potter is really a closet curly head. When she comes out she'll look even better than she does here.
Finally there's red haired singer, songwriter, pianist extraordinaire and mother, Tori Amos. The actual hair texture of this celebrity is not so much wavy as genuinely curly. But in the style she wears in this photo her hair has that in-between wavy, curly look.
Every celebrity has a wavy hair style in this gallery, and more than that, a long wavy hair style.
In fact, only one picture in the whole gallery features anything like a short hair cut. It's the very first photo, and that seemingly short celebrity hair style is also wavy and belongs to a singer with good teen credentials, Fiona Apple.
It's not really a short hair cut. She's pulled her wavy hair back and it's hiding somewhere behind her. But arranged like this it does the best thing a short hair style, wavy or otherwise, can do for any oval faced woman - it shows off the fragile beauty of her features.
The second picture in the gallery, and the second last picture, show her face from the front and its shape is flawless. It makes no difference whether her long wavy hair covers her cheeks or not.
The only picture in which a hair style threatens the symmetry of this teen celebrity's face is the last photo on the top row. The way her hair falls, the shadow it creates on the side nearer the camera, and the upward tilt of her chin, almost suggest that her forehead is narrower than her cheek and jaw.
Which it certainly is not.
Fiona Apple could wear her hair in any style, but most of the time this young celebrity will have her hair style and her wavy hair worn loose. Teenagers form a large part of her fan base. They look to her and her music for a teen slant on life, love, fashion and other burning issues. It's natural for her to choose a hair style that appeals to teen girls.
With all Fiona's teen angst, it's up to the older celebrity women in the middle row - excluding young Milla, of course - to demonstrate that long wavy hair can be many interesting things besides a hair style of choice for young teens.
