There was a time when celebrities, along with every other woman, seemed to think they'd rather be dead than photographed wearing a curly hair style.

But not everyone suffered that prejudice, and there have always been some celebrity women who, flying in the face of fashion and mindless trend-following, have quietly flaunted their own natural curly hair styles.
